GPS-100 Guide

Your AnyTrack GPS-100 comes ready to use. Theres nothing to install, no software to load. Just charge your device and log into our secure system to see device location, speed and direction. The box should contain the following: (1) AnyTrack GPS-100; (2) Wall Charger; (3) Belt Clip.



Quick Start

Step One: Charge your GPS-100
  • On the bottom of the device, lift back the edge of the soft plastic flap that is nearest the SET button.
  • Insert the charger into the GRAY port on the bottom of the GPS-100.
  • Plug the charger into an 110V outlet. Fully charging the device from an empty battery takes about 5 hours.
  • The RED light will stay lit to indicate the device is charging. When the device is fully charged, both the RED light and the BLUE light will be lit.
  • Unplug the device from the charger.
  • The device is automatically ON when it finishes charging.
Step Two: Check Device Status
  • Press the SET button to check device status. The device is on when both lights blink together.
  • If the device HAS captured a cellular signal and is currently being tracked, the RED and BLUE lights will blink 1 time, followed by up to 5 blinks of the BLUE light.
  • If the RED and BLUE lights blink together 3 times the device has not captured a cellular signal. Try waiting for a few minutes and then press the SET button again. See FAQs or Troubleshooting Tips if you continue to have a problem.
Step Three: Locate your device on the AnyTrack.net Control Panel
  • Your device will show on the left side of the Control Panel. The center panel is a map showing the last location of your GPS-100.
  • Select your device by clicking on it. Then click the Locate Now button. The map will update the location of your AnyTrack GPS-100. If you dont see your device, click the Center Map button (The square blue button next to Locate Now.)
*Remember: Every time you click Locate Now, you use a Locate credit.


Getting To Know Your AnyTrack GPS-100

Set Button

Reset Button

Rear of device, bottom right corner
Use to:
Reset device
How to Use:
Use a paper clip to press button inside the hole. Hold it for 3 seconds and release. Both lights will go out. Turn the power back on. Your device should work properly.
* For best results avoid placing antenna or top of device directly against metal or magnetic material.


What The Lights Mean

Blinking BLUE light
Possible Cause:
When the SET button is pressed the BLUE and RED lights flash together. Then the BLUE light blinks. The number of times the BLUE light blinks will tell you how much power is left in your battery. Blinking BLUE lights also tell you that your device has located a cellular signal and can transmit a signal.
Action if Needed:
5 BLUE blinks means your battery is fully charged; 1 blink means your battery is nearly discharged and you may need to recharge your battery soon.

BLUE light and RED light blink together once
Possible Cause:
When the SET button is pressed the BLUE and RED lights blink if your device is turned on.
Action if Needed:
None.

BLUE light and RED blink together 2 or more times
Possible Cause:
If the BLUE and RED lights blink together 2 or more times after the SET button is pressed, the device has not yet captured a cellular signal for tracking or is busy. Busy means that during the time directly after the device has transmitted an automatic locate, it is unable to do other actions.
Action if Needed:
Wait a few moments and press the SET button again. Turn the device off and then turn it back on. Reset your device: (1) Look for the small hole on the back of your GPS-100, at the bottom right corner; (2) Use a paper clip to press button inside the hole. Hold it for 3 seconds and release. Both lights will go out; (3) Turn the power back on.

RED light stays on
Possible Cause:
If device is not plugged into charger and recharging, it should be reset.
Action if Needed:
Reset your device: (1) Look for the small hole on the back of your GPS-100, at the bottom right corner; (2) Use a paper clip to press button inside the hole. Hold it for 3 seconds and release. Both lights will go out; (3) Turn the power back on.

Blue light stays on
Possible Cause:
Device should be reset.
Action if Needed:
Reset your device: (1) Look for the small hole on the back of your GPS-100, at the bottom right corner; (2) Use a paper clip to press button inside the hole. Hold it for 3 seconds and release. Both lights will go out; (3) Turn the power back on.

Both lights stay on continuously
Possible Cause:
If device is plugged into charger, charge is complete. Otherwise, the device should be reset.
Action if Needed:
Reset your device: (1) Look for the small hole on the back of your GPS-100, at the bottom right corner; (2) Use a paper clip to press button inside the hole. Hold it for 3 seconds and release. Both lights will go out; (3) Turn the power back on.

Faint RED light
Possible Cause:
PWR button has been pressed for less than 1 second.
Action if Needed:
PWR button must be pressed 2-3 seconds when turning on or off.

No lights
Possible Cause:
To conserve battery power the GPS-100 does not display lights when the power is on.
Action if Needed:
Determine if the power is on by pressing the set button: (1) If the BLUE and RED lights blink at the same time your power is on; (2) If no lights come on your power is off; (3) If no lights come on your device may need to be recharged


Troubleshooting

GPS-100 wont power on
Possible Cause:
Your GPS-100 is active while it is charging, so when you remove the device from the charger the power is ON. If you press the PWR button after charging is complete you are actually turning the power OFF.
Action if Needed:
After charging your device DO NOT press the PWR button unless you wish to turn the power off. Check to see if the device is turned on by pressing the SET button. If both lights blink the power is on.
The battery may need to be recharged. Press the SET button. If no lights come on try recharging your device.
Your device may need to be reset. Reset your device: (1) Look for the small hole on the back of your GPS-100, at the bottom right corner; (2) Use a paper clip to press button inside the hole. Hold it for 3 seconds and release. Both lights will go out; (3) Turn the power back on.

GPS-100 cannot be located or does not seem to be working
Possible Cause:
The power may not be turned on.
Action if Needed:
Check to see if the device is turned on. Press the SET button. If both lights blink the power is on.
The battery may need to be recharged. Press the SET button. If no lights come on try recharging your device.
Your device may need to be reset. Reset your device: (1) Look for the small hole on the back of your GPS-100, at the bottom right corner; (2) Use a paper clip to press button inside the hole. Hold it for 3 seconds and release. Both lights will go out; (3) Turn the power back on.

Automatic Tracking works fine at first, then it stops working and wont restart
Possible Cause:
Automatic Tracking is working properly but the battery runs out between fixes so it does not report at its next scheduled locate.
Action if Needed:
Charge the battery or try using a car charger or high capacity batteries.
